Sunrise World, meet Kei’Shona… The world received a ray of sunshine on October 22, 1991. This is the day Kei’Shona Faizah-Habib Wilson, affectionately known as Kei, Kei-Kei, Shonny and Buddha, was given to her mother Fac’Shon Keena Wilson. This was the ultimate present from the Lord; a blessing of blessings, delivered at the Christiana Hospital, in Newark, Delaware. At the tender age of five, Kei’Shona attended Sunday school and church services at Bethany Baptist church in Chester, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed learning about the Lord with her grandmothers, Loretta and Mary. Kei’Shona found the Lord early in life, and was baptized January 1, 2012, at Community Baptist Church in Chester, Pennsylvania. Kei’Shona received her early education in Brandywine, Red Clay and Colonial school districts. She graduated from Delcastle Technical High School, May 28, 2010, receiving her Medical Assistant certification. She was a cheerleader for the varsity basketball team, a member of Delcastle’s Finest Dance Team, ran track, played rugby and enjoyed participating in the annual talent show, showcasing all her moves. Kei’Shona loved to stay active outside of school as well, playing travel AAU basketball and joining her mother in competition on the Hit Squad softball team. In addition to Kei’Shona being a scholar, athlete, and avid dancer, in 2009, she ran for Miss Teen Delaware. Her high school years were full of fun, laughter, light and love. She continued her education for four years at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, studying Rehabilitation. About her business… Kei’Shona had a strong work ethic with equally strong integrity at a young age. Kei’Shona started working at the age of 14 with the Summer Youth Program in the Parks and Rec department. She performed roles from pool monitor to passing out community lunches. She worked with the Summer Youth Program throughout her high school years. During her college years, Kei’Shona worked for various staffing firms. Post graduation, Kei’Shona worked at Sunrise Nursing Home as the Lead Night Shift Attendant for several years and then decided to pursue a role in Collections with Navient/Mohela through present. In addition to her career with Navient/Mohela, Kei’Shona worked alongside her mother, as her right-hand, at the Monday Club bartending. Kei’Shona truly enjoyed that job, the members and the laughs and love she shared with her mother during this time. Living life to the fullest… Kei’Shona had many joys in life. During her life journey, she lived a beautiful, spoiled and blessed life, full of love and laughter. She loved to cook, eat, dance, travel, sing, drink and hang with friends; however, nothing made her happier than being with her mother. Kei’Shona and her mother’s bond was like NO other. They never missed an opportunity to enjoy each other, going to concerts, traveling abroad, enjoying fashion therapy and even working together! There will forever be besties, twins, Big Sis/Lil Sis! Talking on the phone and facetiming were daily routines. Let’s not forget the unforgettable game nights, cheering on their favorite sports team together, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the infamous Battle Nights, where Kei’Shona’s team “Cash App Babies” suffered many defeats when they went up against her mother’s team “Bad and Bougie”. Kei’Shona loved to battle the Ole Heads, as she called them. Speaking of love, shout out to Lil Durk (free Lil Durk!), Bow Wow and Lil’ Kim (she would want me to say that). Kei’Shona’s smile would light up any room. She was the total opposite of her mom (Harley Quinn). She cooked, did her own hair and make-up, knew how to ride a bike, roller skate, was a gamer and a good listener; the calm to any storm. She partied her last party on Saturday, June 14, 2025, as a precursor to the blast she would have with her daughter, Baby K., in heaven. We will surely miss her cooking, styling our hair, doing our make-up, and of course being the honorary bartender/hookah girl at any function; the “Hypest” of Hype Girls! Everyday…everyone. Loving, kind, positive, glass always half full kind of person who met everyone she encountered with a smile. Her positive energy was infectious; always kind and respectful. Simply a blessing to all. Kei’Shona’s truest of love was for her mother, family, good friends and Baby K. She sincerely loved all five of her God kids, especially her little cousin Milanj. Kei’Shona was loved by so many because she radiated love; she had a heart of gold that she shared freely and abundantly. She always saw the best in everyone, unless they crossed her (which turned her into her mother’s child). Kei’Shona was a strong, radiant, curious, fearless women who truly believed in living it up…everyday! Her village consisted of many groups, including the Sisters4Life, College Crew, Outsiders, Death Row, Frat House, Cash App Babies, etc.. we could go on and on and on, but the bottom line is she was definitely a Real One, the Glue to the villages and the Life of the party. Sunset… Back in 2015, Kei’Shona met her love Troy Dale, and on Aug. 31, 2019 she gave birth to her beautiful baby girl Baby K. Emily Dale-Wilson. While Kei’Shona’s time with Baby K. was far too short, her love remained everlasting. On Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, early in the afternoon, the Lord whispered in our dear sweet Kei Kei’s ear, telling her it was time to come and be with Baby K. On June 16, 2025, Kei’Shona’s mother and one of her best friends found her. The ultimate gift to the Lord from a Mother on Father’s Day. You can bet she is smiling down on us holding Baby K. in her loving arms saying “Hey ya’ll, don’t cry for me, but take a shot for Kei! I’m Just fine, streaming my apps and enjoying my baby in the Lord’s house. I am with my Baby Girl, Great Grandparents Nathan and Mary Dodson, and Frank and Loretta Wilson, Special Grandmother Annette Mitchell, Aunts Irma Rideout and Annette “Netty” Davis, Uncles Harold “Bug” Dodson, Donald “Hoag” Fowlkes, Gregory ”Greg” Wilson, Reginald “Regi” Wilson and Godfather Rash Baeshen. Trust me, I’m GOOD!” Until next time...
