Cassandra Ann Marie Harvey

Cassandra Ann Marie Harvey aka “Peaches” was born on July 17, 1974 in Saint James, Jamaica to Kermit Harvey and Jesmin Hewitt. She was the second youngest of seven children. Cassandra graduated from Saint James High School and worked for several years at Champion Garment Factory in Saint James, Jamaica before emigrating to the United State. Cassandra was always a very spiritual person and attends church faithfully every Sunday. She participated in many church activities and volunteers her time at church functions. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly Of God Church in Saint James, Jamaica. On January 8, 1998 at the age of 24 Cassandra emigrated to the United State of America with her only son Everton Beckford. Since emigrating to the United state, Cassandra resided in New Castle, Delaware. Cassandra acquired her certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant on August 8, 1998. She began working for Faulk Manor North Nursing Home as a CNA shortly thereafter. Cassandra continued her studies and graduated as a Practical Nurse in August 2012 and received her license. After receiving her License Cassandra was promoted to Charge nurse at Faulk Manor North where she worked until recently when was forced to retire due to her illness. In addition, Cassandra worked a second job at Bayada Nursing Home for the past six years and retired in 2020 due to illness. Cassandra was a very spiritual person. She was an ordained minister. She was a member of two churches. Faith City Family Church in Newark, DE and Dominion House in Newark, DE. Cassandra enjoyed going to church, church events, shopping, spending time with family and friends. She had a infectious smile and was a very kind and compassionate person. She was always there to offer a prayer for anyone in need. Cassandra was predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents. Cassandra is survived by her mother Jesmin Hewitt, father Kermit Harvey, son Everton Beckford, sisters Bobbette Pryce, Andrea Baxter, Marcia Flakes, Yvonne Martin , Carolyn Harvey, Latoya Harvey, Shelly Harvey and one brother Radcliffe Harvey. Aunts Joy Harvey, Pauline Harvey, June Harvey, and Pauline Rowe. Uncles: Easton (Stanley)Campbell, McDanny Hewitt, and Melvin Hewitt. Also uncles and auntie Vernon and Susan Harvey, Ean (Ken) and Rosanne Harvey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
