Stella Earl

Stella Marie Earl 73 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on April 22nd at Christiana Hospital surrounded by family. Stella was born on May 3rd 1948 at Union hospital in Elkton, MD. Stella was the daughter of the late Ernest Smith and Pearl Smith (Webster). Stella attended Iron Hill school in Newark, DE and Louis L. Redding school in Middletown DE. After finishing school later on she became a mother to her one son. She held several cleaning jobs which she enjoyed. Her latest job was working with her good friend Michelle. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the fullest. She was the life of the party, with her dancing and singing. Stella loved life and lived it accordingly. She was a true legend of 30th street. She opened up her home to many. She will surely be missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Darcella "Peaches" Smith and her brother Gregory "Fiji" Smith. She leaves behind in her legacy one son Lester Smith, five grandchildren Lester "JR" Scott, Kiara Smith, Jasmine Smith, Briana Smith and Janaya Smith and thirteen great-grandchildren Ja'shaun Johnson, Ja'sun Johnson, Taniyya Scott, Jayden Scott, Teuna Scott, Jahlil Scott, Kenny Chandler, Kyaire Chandler, Ayvon Staton, Ja'Khi Smith, Brielle Smith, and Waali Smith. A Devoted friend James "Baldy" Norton. Also she loves behind her brothers Reginald Grinnage (Rita), Zuavey Kadafi. Sisters Deborah Banks and Sandra Clayton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
