Nancy Webster Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy Webster, daughter of the late Phillip Ricks, Sr and Josephine E. Ricks was born in Wilmington, Delaware on April 29th, 1946. She departed this life on July 14, 2022. Nancy received her early education in Newark, Delaware and graduated from James H Groves High School. Nancy worked at the University of Delaware for a few years and then started her career at DuPont Co. where she eventually retired from after over 20 years of service. Most recently she returned to work part time for Aramark at the University of Delaware where she was affectionately called mom. Nancy loved to bake and her sweet potato pies were famous. Nancy also loved spending time with her granddaughter Mahoganei who preceded her in death and her great granddaughter Jasiaya whom she spoiled terribly. You could also find her and daughter Jozette at the penny slots at Delaware Park. Nancy was a member of Mt. Zion UAME Church in Newark, Delaware. She enjoyed ushering, singing and praising his name. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 3 brothers and her beloved granddaughter "Hodge". Nancy leaves to cherish her memories; 1 son James M. Webster (Gale), 2 daughters Justina M. Webster and Mary "Jozette" Webster, granddaughter JoShyra Spady and great granddaughter Jasiaya Spady along with special sister-friend Bernice Chandler and a host of , cousins, nieces, nephew family and friends.
