Marion Vice born on March 5, 1929 to Richard and Cora Hickman. She was the fourth child of eight born and raised on the East Side of Wilmington, DE. Affectionately called Pop. She was educated in the Wilmington Public School Systems. Marion worked for Goodwill Industries and The Day Break Facility where she later retired as a Nurse Aide. Pop dedicated her time raising her son and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Her craft for pottery/ ceramics began at St. Patrick's Senior Center,. Pop had a love for unlimited shopping, day trips and talking about a memorable trip to Florida planned by People Settlement. Salvation Army was her outlet until COVID. Staying home didn't stop her fun from playing checkers to connect four, sending the grandchildren shopping, putting puzzles together, watching Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and WWE Wrestling and Wrestling Mania. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Cora Hickman; Son Preston J. Hickman Sr.; siblings Alice, George, LeRoy, Alberta, Freddie, a brother in law Kenyon Camper a niece Melanie Ann Brown and other family members. Pop is survived by 2 sisters Betty Ann Camper and Sarah Butler, 4 grandchildren Angelique Hickman (Bernard) Hogue, Preston J. (Tanisha) Hickman, Jr. Nina (Andre) Arthurs, DeRae Bordley; 11 Great Grand children Bria, Semaj, Preston N., Bryce, Paris, Breajah, Bernie, Drew, Payton, Layla and AJ; one Great Great Grandson Kairo Hickman, Nephews Nieces and a host of families and friends. The Vice family would like to especially thank Seasons Hospice. We can’t express our gratitude to you for the care my grandmother received. She left this world in comfort because of you. Please accept our deepest thanks.
