Kenneth D Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kenneth D. Clark was born on April 6, 1942 in Darby Township to the late Thomas Clark and Theresa Inez Smith. He departed this life peacefully on July 3rd, 2022 with his family by his bedside. Kenneth met and married the love of his life Julia Vernell (Katie) on February 15, 1964. Out of this beautiful union, 5 children were born; Lamont, Kenny, Vernell (Crystal), Nicole and Telia. The family had a personal example of a loving and long lasting marriage for 49 years. Kenny was educated in the Lincoln/Studevan Schools in Darby Township. He was employed at John Wanamakers and W. Rose. He worked as a toolmaker until he retired. He raised his children with an iron fist. If you knew anything about Kenny Clark, it was that he didn't play about his children. He absolutely loved telling funny stories and singing any and everywhere. Kenny knew everybody and their family in our neighborhood called "DARBY TOWNSHIP". If he didn't know you, you weren't from Township. He KNEW everybody and their whole family. You could always find him sitting under his tree or on his porch drinking a Pepsi enjoying his grands, great grands and friends. He usually had a story he could tell you about anyone he knew. It was left up to them to figure out if the story was true or not. You could often find Kenny driving to go play his numbers or giving someone a lift even before there was a Lyft. Surprisingly, he NEVER had a license. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia (Katie), Brothers; Thomas (Dunny), Leroy (Wheaty) and Clarence (Piggy) and his sister Rozenia (Zennie). Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his 5 children, Lamont, Kenneth, Crystal, Nicole and Telia. One son in law, Donald Barton Sr., Patsy, Clifford (Fanny) and Larry (Marva). 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
