July 14, 1988 - February 1, 2018
Kelli Lynette Snow, 29, unexpectedly passed on February 1st, 2018 in Wilmington, Delaware. Kelli, Kelz, Little Kelli blessed the world with her presence on July 14, 1988. There are many words to describe Kelli but the most defining would be resilient. Resilient is defined as able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions: strong, tough, hearty, quick to recover and irrepressible. She was a free spirit with an old soul; uncontainable and everlasting. With a spirit that was impossible to constrain, If you feel her with you, it's because she is. Kelli walked to her own beat from the beginning. With those beautiful brown almond eyes and that smirky smile, she knew it was impossible not to love her. Typically she was the smallest person in the room but the mightiest we may ever see and she had no problem letting everyone know that. Even when no one asked!! Wild child yet so soothing, caring and sentimental. She loved hard and she loved forever. Kelli had a really good memory and never forgot anyone, no matter the years that passed. Once family, always family. She would give even when she didn't have. If she knew you, she loved you and everyone got a nickname from Kelli (unless you upset her then she would use your given name). Cherish that nick name and when you hear it, remember her. Some things people may not know about Kelli are that she liked to read books (real books) and was an avid discovery channel watcher, especially during shark week. Kelli loved food (even though unlike some of us she wouldn't gain a pound). She had a favorite dish of everyone's because she could eat far better than she could cook. Kelli also loved to sing, listen and dance to reggae and was fabulous at doing hair; even having he ability to complete her own micro braids. She was a great listener and loyal friend, but her most admirable and absolute favorite thing to do was taking her son, Yazir to the park and on adventurous nature walks. Kelli was lucky enough to have two mothers, Kim Lynette Snow and Virginia A. Knotts, along with her Father, Juan Govens to cherish her memory. In 2011 God blessed Kelli with her greatest achievement, Yazir whom she cherished and loved beyond measures. Kelli was the fourth oldest out of her eight sisters who she leaves to honor her memory; Kashenna (Tylen), Mia (Andrew), Meisha (Scott), Rosana, Brenisha, Ronya, Natalia, Dominique and her two brothers Brandon and Jarren. Kelli also is survived by her godsisters, Shakina, Rennisha and Akia along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, twelve nephews and three nieces.
