Tierra S Cochran

Tierra Shvonne Cochran was born August 26, 1986 in Newark, Delaware to Theresa Yuvonne Cochran and Juan Alberto Burgos, Jr. Tierra was always dedicated to her education and graduated in 2004 from Ursuline Academy. Tierra was so determined and committed to learning that she decided to further her education in New York and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Medgar Evers College. Tierra continued to soar in her dreams by obtaining a Master’s of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She was a very bright and ambitious young woman who was adored and loved by her family. Her family was extremely proud of her commitment and passion towards accomplishing her goals. Tierra was very talented. She enjoyed playing her flute, reading, cooking and her most favorite thing, eating. Thinking and talking about food excited Tierra ever since she was a little girl when she would hum while chewing her food. She enjoyed watching cooking shows on The Food Network and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers play whenever she could. Tierra loved Biology and spent hours on the phone with her Mom and Mom Mom talking about cells and the evolution of life. They would listen in awe of her knowledge, but had no clue about the things she would share. Tierra was always full of information on many topics and was a great resource for family and friends. If she did not know the answer she would find out and make sure she explained it to you thoroughly. Tierra’s Mom Mom Daisy loved their nightly “therapy sessions” on the phone . Tierra knew that Mom-Mom Daisy was her "yes" even if mom said "no" . Tierra touched the lives of those she encountered. She was and forever will be our shining star. Tierra leaves to cherish precious memories her loving mother Theresa Y. Cochran, father Juan Alberto Burgos, Jr, Grandparents Daisy Cochran, Mack Cochran (Geraldine) and Felicia Burgos, 1 Brother Terin Cochran, 4 Sisters Camille, Meagan, Darlene and Julia, Special Aunts and Uncles Stephanie Cochran-Gibson and Michael Gibson, Carmen Burgos Thompson and Marcus Thompson and a host of loving family members and friends.
