Kathy Church

Kathy "Pankin" Church third youngest of 7 children born to Henrietta Church (Lloyd) and Joseph S. Church on March 31 1960. She peacefully ascended to Heaven on November 20, 2020 surrounded by family. Kathy received her earlier education in the Delaware school system, she attended Mary C.I. Williams Elementary School, Bayard Middle School, and Wilmington High School. Kathy was outgoing, outspoken, a good hearted thoughtful and strong-willed woman, she backed downed from nothing telling it like it is. Kathy loved and lived life to the fullest. Kathy loved nothing more than spending time with her mother and grand kids, playing cards with her friends, listening to her oldies as she would say "her oldies but goodies as well as gospel music, if there was a gathering with music and dancing she would be the last person still dancing. Kathy worked a variety of jobs in her younger years; what she found love for was providing child care, that began with in-home providers something she would eventually do for family and friends at her home. Kathy was a member of the Temple of Christ Church where she attended service just about every Sunday, where she enjoyed fellowship with Pastor Ervin. Kathy touched the lives of so many whether she grew up with you or watched you grow throughout life, there wasn't a place in the city where she didn't know somebody that she brought joy and laughter to. Memories will be forever cherished and carried on with her children: Cathy, Raheen-bey (Ieisha), Tamara, her mother Henrietta Church, her siblings: Marlando, Ronald (Paula), Anthony, and Andre. Eight grandchildren: Tanaija Church, Armani Nickerson, Ai'zurri Church, Leeaira and Leeamya Langston, Malachi Church, Nevaeh-Skye, Ai'king-bey Church, and Trevoni King. Three great-grandsons: Jermere, Jermiah and Jermari Lott. Her fiancé Willard Cheatwood. Aunts: Joyce Black, Victoria Trice and Pamela Lynsay, one Uncle Tyran Campbell. A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbors. She was proceeded in death by her father Joseph Church, her son Tyrone Church, brother Gary, sister Andrea Church and sister in-law Sharon Church.
