Carla Yvonne Cephas Wilson born September 4, 1961 age 63 departed this life on February 25, 2025. Carla was born to the late Thomas E and the late Diane E Cephas, in Wilmington, Delaware. Carla was united in holy matrimony to Joseph C Wilson for 15 years until his death in 2013 . Carla was the Mother four children, Cameana Cephas-Williams, Aaron Cephas , Koren, Cephas Nocks of Dover, Delaware, and Vaughn Cephas, of Wilmington, Delaware Carla graduated from James H grove high school with honors and attended the Delaware Technical Community College here in Wilmington, Delaware. Studying accounting. As we all know, she was excellent in Mathematics. She enjoyed showing off her math skills every tax season, Her regular customers would return looking forward to that maximum refund. !! Don’t let someone forget to pay her for her service. not only, would you receive your check, but you would also receive a Serious lashing of the tongue. Carla opened her own cleaning service in 2010. (royalty cleaning ), contracting with businesses throughout the Wilmington and Newark area. She was very proud of this Achievement Carla was a supervisor for Downtown Visions where she worked for 10 years and also obtained a supervisor position with Optima cleaning service for 12 years employing many family members and friends. In 2014, Carla heard the voice of the Lord, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Eastside congregation, she was baptized along with her two Grandchildren, Ny’air and Dashawn Cephas. Carla was a free spirited Fun, loving Daughter mother,, sister, niece, cousin, and good friend, if you hung out with her, you always had a good time and you always walk away with a smile on your face, laughter in your heart and looking forward to The next time you see her Carla was a real person, here I am, take it or leave it approach to life!!! The family’s queen of Comedy always had something to say. if you had gone to one of her barbecues or dinners you would be talking about the good time you had for days! . she had a talent for telling a good story , Like no one else could how many of us, have heard the story of “I want the job!!! ”she would have you laughing unto you cried!!!! We thank God for all those Precious memories that will never be Forgotten. She also loved playing video games with her grandchildren, Khalil,, Ny’are, Dashawn and Amaya Playing for hours an enjoying every moment of it. As the grandchildren got older You could still find Carla sitting on her couch with her phone or Computer playing her favorite games. She Love being with her children and grandchildren and siblings. One highlight of her life was the time we went on a family cruise with her kids, CaMeana, Ace , Koren and Vaughn her mother Diane, brother Carl and sister Tracey. Several nieces, nephews and cousins, ohh what a time we had! She took so many pictures on that cruise and manage to get other people to buy them. Along with a few ice teas from New York. Carla was affectionally known as mom Carla throughout the Westside, Community and her Westside family always looked out for her. it was well known that if Carla could help you, she would. If she had a place to stay you had a place to stay. If she had a meal, you had a meal, that the kind of person she was! Carla, was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Joseph, C Wilson, her mother and father Thomas E Cephas, and Diane E Cephas, her grandmother Marguerite Freeman, her beloved Aunt Joann Coleman and Uncle Nelson Davis This light shine bright for 63 years then on February 25, 2025 The light faded, but the Legacy lives on, and she will never be forgotten.
