Braylen A Johnson

Braylen (Bray) Ahmed Johnson was born to Abraham S. Johnson-Farnum and Iyesha V. Washam, on August 20, 2008, he was the first born for both his parents. He returned to Allah on August 20, 2022, at Christiana Hospital in Newark Delaware. Braylen received his education in the Delaware public schools of Mount Pleasant Elementary and Spring Middle School. He played basketball at Mount Pleasant Elementary school and was a consistent member of the Silk League since age 5. Ahmed was a member of Masjid Ar-Razzaaq’s community from the age of 1. He studied his religion and learned the language of Arabic at Masjid Ar-Razzaaq, Masjid Fajr (Chester, PA), and Masjid Bin Baaz (Philadelphia, PA). Within these masaajids he sat under and was taught by many great Students of Knowledge, but Student was a consistent teacher Shayk Khalif Abu Sumayah. Braylen was set to attend Brandywine High School where he aspired to be on the basketball and football teams. Braylen enjoyed both sports as well as watching football with his family on Sundays and eating pizza and wings, he was an ultimate Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Eagles fan. Braylen enjoyed life, although cut short he always said he wanted to attend college based on his targeted sport. If football was his focus his selections were University of Alabama and University of Georgia however if basketball was the focus, it was Duke University. Braylen had a smile that would light up any room and warm all hearts. Bray grew an affinity for playing Xbox and Playstation where he taught his mom how to play Madden, NBA Live, FortNite and Call of Duty. Whoever Bray met he left his mark. Braylen was the only child for nine years and throughout that time he begged Allah continuously for a brother. On July 8, 2017, his dua was answered and he watched his heart transform into human form. His brother was born who he named Tawfiq. Braylen named his brother Tawfiq because Allah granted him success (tawfeeq) in becoming a big brother and go to man. Bray adored his brother, but while asking Allah for his own brother he gained bonus brothers, sisters, aunts, and his special great-aunt who shadowed as a grandmother his one and only Aunt Bill. His bonus bros who are his first cousins, Jaheem White, Michael Owens, and Zion Charles. This first and only big sisters Jamera Barnes, Na’keilah Lindsey, Indiah Backus, and his fav Aunt Nikki (Nik Nyce). اللَّهمَّ اغْفِرْ لَه ُُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِه ِِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّه ِِ مِنَ الخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَاراً خَيْرا ً مِنْ دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَزَوْجَاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ زَوْجِهِ، وَأَدْخِلْهُ الجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّار ‘O Allah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honourable his reception. Expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. Exchange his home for a better home, and his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into the Garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.’
