Annette Davis

Ms.Annette Nicole Davis (age 49) was born on May 17, 1973 in Wilmington, Delaware to Ann Davis-Lyons and the late Cornelius Collins. She departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2022 in Wilmington, Delaware. Annette was known and always was affectionately called Netty. She received her high school/diploma from Thomas McKean high school in 1991, and attended the Brandywine Hair Academy where she received her cosmetology license. Netty worked as a hair stylist for over 20 plus years, and touched many lives along the way. Netty was very spiritual and knew the Lord, the first church she joined was from her childhood friend Pastor Lee where she was his first member. She brought many people to the service to find the Lord and where she married her husband Thomas (Tito) Braxton of ten years. Netty was very gifted with not only doing hair but nails, drawing and cooking, She enjoyed helping others, her children and granddaughter is and, always will be her pride and joy. She always knew what to say to make you laugh and loved to keep her and the babies lips shining. Her signature shoe was always rocking a mule. To know Netty was to Love her. Netty was preceded by her father Cornelius Collins, aunt Johnnie Mae Rogers and uncle Jerome Murkison. Netty is survived by her sons Markel & Nyjewel Davis, her daughters Jacie Collins and Jordan Davis. Her beautiful, one and only intelligent granddaughter Sole' aka (So-So) Davis. A very special daughter in love Brandi Deaman.Her loving and devoted mother Ann Davis-Lyons (Walt), her sisters Victoria Davis and Fac'Shon Wilson-Gasby (John), Carolyn Wells of Riverside, CA., Michelle Johnson-Lane (Nathan) of Lynchburg, VA and brothers Maurice Johnson (Sue) of Vero Beach, FL and Richmond Harrison of New Castle, DE.. Her aunts Mary Mahan (Mark), Eletha Davis, Clarice Hence and Yvonne Staton and uncles John Murkison and Raymond Settles. Niece Kei'Shona (Shonny) Wilson and Goddaughter Johnae Baker. Her special cousins Chanda Merkinson, Kathy Burns-Pruitt (Willie), Jermaine & Luther Banner and Fred Rush. Best Friends Donna Tucker-Oliver (Salih), Keisha Hopkins.
